To the editor: The Trump name has been added to the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and more recently it has been determined that $16 billion in federal funding would be released in exchange for the Trump name to appear on NYC’s Penn Station and Washington, D.C., Dulles International Airport. This was the catalyst for me to embark on research of any upcoming initiative renaming plans by the president. I have concluded that due to Pennsylvania being governed by a Democrat, a plot to undermine Gov. Josh Shapiro will begin right here in Central Pennsylvania. In an attempt to lure future young voters, Chef Boyardee will become Chef DoNaldo! Chef Hector Boiardi’s picture on cans of spaghetti and meatballs, ravioli and beefaroni will be replaced by President Trump’s picture, in the familiar chef hat. I was raised in Milton and my dear mother worked at the Chef plant for 46 years, as did many of our esteemed citizens. Additionally, the new statue of Chef Boiardi will be replaced by a solid gold statue of Donald Trump, and guarded by rotating units of the Pennsylvania National Guard. Regardless if one is a Republican, Democrat or Independent like me, we should be furious about being pulled into this political arena using food as ammunition. It doesn’t end here either. New packaging will replace some all-time favorites. We will soon see Donald’s Chocolate Kisses wrapped in gold foil, Trump’s Peanut Butter Cups and Mr. T’s (for Trump) Pierogies. Where will it end? Quite frankly, I’ve lost my appetite. Also in the preliminary stage is a plan to take over Knoebel’s Amusement Resort by eminent domain. and the name will become Noble Donald’s Fun Place. Free entry and parking will remain in place, but there will be a 50% tariff on all ride tickets and food without a Trump family insignia. We need to unite as citizens and stop this progression of nonsense before we become an area without a name.
