This “opinion” is NOT, I repeat absolutely NOT, about any political party. Americans are losing their voice to the ultra-rich. It’s about Trump taking all power from all of us.
If you want to know who Trump is emulating, research these Russian names: Roman Abramovich and Boris Berezovsky. In 1991, President Boris Yeltsin was controlled by 6 major oligarchs. Boris Berezovsky and Vladimir Gusinsky controlled television and media. Boris Yeltsin became ill and stepped down in 1999. Vladimir Putin was put in power. Vladimir Putin has been “President” of Russia since 2000 – 25 years.
Do Yeltsin’s and Putin’s behavior sound familiar? Is Donald Trump doing what you elected him to do? Does he have the potential, the intention, to become another Vladimir Putin? Read Project 2025. It’s exactly what’s happening now. Trump’s shock-and-awe approach is a distraction. I believe his goal is to become a leader like Putin, Kim Jong Un, and all other authoritarian leaders. We must mobilize against oligarchy.
Never having another election and becoming an oligarchy like Russia is unthinkable. Trump went rogue on January 28, 2025. He cut off Medicaid to all recipients, fired inspector generals who “deter, detect, prevent, and eradicate fraud, waste, misconduct, and abuse in the programs, operations, and contracting of executive agencies,” and summarily fired 4k+ federal workers without cause on January 29th.
Now is the time to gather together to make your voices heard in your neighborhoods, your communities, and by your state legislators.
