Thank you, President Joe Biden, for your accomplishments on behalf of the American people. You are leaving us with an economy that has grown faster and created more jobs than any other advanced economy in the world. Under Biden’s four years, 16.6 million jobs were created, leading to the lowest average unemployment rate of any president in the past fifty years, ending at 4.1 percent.
The Biden administration brought inflation down to below 3 percent — lower than in most other countries. The federal interest rate just went down another quarter percent to 4.5.
President Biden cracked down on corporate price gouging, monopolization, and trickle-down economics. He took on Big Pharma by capping out-of-pocket drug costs for millions of seniors at $2,000. He lowered the price of 64 drugs, including capping insulin at $35.00.
We have seen positive results from Biden’s Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act here in our own communities and throughout Pennsylvania. Biden’s CHIPS and Science Act will provide more American-made semiconductors, and his clean energy initiatives will pay off with greater fuel efficiency and less pollution.
Thank you, President Biden, for your long and beneficial service to America. Thank you for being a leader among leaders of the free world. Thank you for strengthening our security and above all else, protecting our democracy.
