Buyer’s Remorse

Recently I was conversing with a friend who voted for Donald Trump this past election cycle. I, on the other hand, voted for Harris. Acknowledging this difference, I was interested in my friend’s perspective today given what has occurred these past few months. In short, there was a lot of buyer’s remorse. My friend’s main rationale for voting this way was the economy. Given this rationale, one can clearly appreciate the sentiment of buyer’s remorse. I share this in that despite our political differences, we have been able to reasonably maintain our relationship based on our shared belief that neither one of us are political extremists (MAGA or extreme left of center). The reality is that a majority of people voted for Donald Trump this past election. However, my belief is that there is a significant degree of buyer’s remorse emerging around the country for many that voted in this manner. To be clear, not with everyone that voted this way, but with a growing number of Republicans that are moving beyond being dismayed to feeling betrayed as a result of this administration’s actions on the economy as well as on other fronts. For those experiencing buyer’s remorse, please speak-up and reach out to our elected officials to let them know you are dissatisfied with the chaos that has been instigated by this administration. We need your voices to be heard in concert with those of us who are already politically active in this regard.
