Register To Vote
You can directly shape the quality and character of your government by registering to vote and voting local, state and federal elections.
You can register to vote in several different ways:
1. In Person. You can register to vote in person at the Union County Government Center in the Office of Elections and Voter Registration. The Union County Government Center is located at 155 N 15th St. In Lewisburg, PA 17837. You can call for more information at 5790524-8681 or by visiting the web site at

2. By Mail. You can make an on-line request for a Voter Registration by Mail Application directly from the Pennsylvania Department of States’ Web site right now. You can also make a request for voter registration by mail by calling the Department of States’s toll free voter registration line 1-800-522-VOTE.
3. When you apply for or Renew Your Driver’s License. You will be asked whether you wish to register to vote at the conclusion of the examination and license issuing process.

Three Important Things to Know About Voter Registration in Pennsylvania
1. To vote in any election you must be registered to vote at least 30 days immediately before the election.
2. To vote in any election, you must have resided in the election district, precinct, or division in which you must vote at least 30 days before the election. However, if you are a registered and qualified Pennsylvania voter who has moved his or her place of residence from one voting district to another district inside Pennsylvania within 30 days of an election, you may vote in the district from which you moved.
3. In Pennsylvania you must choose a party affiliation to vote in primary elections. If you wish to vote Democratic primary elections, you must be registered as a Democrat. You will not be able to vote in a Democratic primary election if you are registered Independent or as a member of another political party.
4. First time voters. If you are a first time voter you must have the two forms of identification with you. Your voter ID card and a photo identification card.
